How can Ebay sell butterfly knives if they are not allowed to be sent through mail?

I would like to buy a butterfly knife. How can i purchase one through ebay if it is illegal to send them through the USPS?|||Well, first of all, EBay doesn't sell anything, they just enable a private seller and a private buyer to connect with each other, that's all.





I cannot imagine why it would be illegal to send a knife through the mail, but, if it is, then just use UPS or Fedex or some other method of shipping.
